More details on the 2022 Voicify events calendar
As mentioned a couple of weeks ago in our recap of Project Voice 2022, the team at Voicify is thrilled to be making a careful but optimistic return to normalcy this year with a schedule of virtual and live Voicify events worldwide. Incredibly, we’re contributing to every event on our calendar this year as featured speakers with an exciting and varied lineup of stories about using custom voice assistants to create value and make a difference in people’s lives.
Today we’d like to share an overview of the Voicify events calendar, stories we’re sharing this summer, and where else you can connect with us as the year unfolds.
Microsoft Build

Microsoft Build is an annual event where developers, architects, start-ups, and more connect to learn. Designed for sharing information and expanding skills, attendees come to share the knowledge they need to stay on the innovative edge of technology.
Voicify Chief Product Officer Alex Dunn was selected to join a virtual panel of professional developers to discuss using their technical skills for the greater good. In it, they’ll cover how they identified a need, their processes, and their most significant lessons learned.
OHO U 2022 Next Level Marketing
Session: New Student Onboarding with a Custom Voice Assistant at Hamilton College
When: Wednesday, June 1, 2022 – 1:00 to 3:00 PM Eastern
Where: Virtual
Speakers:
- Tim O’Keeffe, Sr. Director of Marketing and Analytics at Hamilton
- Nick Laidlaw, CTO at Voicify
OHO U is a free annual conference for Higher Ed marketers. This year speakers will be covering a wide variety of topics around digital marketing and professional development every Wednesday from June 1 to June 22 and from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern. In 2022, Voicify was proud to be selected to contribute a customer success story.
In our session, Tim and Nick will share the story of how we built a conversational voice assistant that allows prospective students to explore Hamilton admissions, academics, campus life, and more. Deployed on Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, the College’s voice application is voiced exclusively by custom recordings of Hamilton students and senior staff members to create an experience as unique and authentic as the institution it represents.
As the technology and processes around voice mature, organizations are now thinking about more substantive and meaningful use cases. As a result, accessibility is a recurring theme. The Hamilton College voice assistant improves the accessibility of new student onboarding by offering interactive content to individuals for whom other digital channels can be challenging.
Voice Global
Session: Inside Custom Voice Assistants in 2022
When: Thursday, June 16, 2022 – 11:00 AM Eastern
Where: Virtual
Speakers:
- Sanket Shinde, Voice AI Solutions Architect at Volkswagen
- Alex Dunn, Chief Product Officer, Voicify
Earlier this year, we shared how Volkswagen used Voicify to build a custom voice assistant for the We Connect ID. App, allowing drivers to query vehicle status with a convenient, mobile conversational voice interface that helps drivers find charging stations nearby, view the charging state, and ask for the vehicle’s last parked location.
In this virtual main-stage session, Sanket and Alex will unpack why custom voice assistants are so important and share their experiences creating them as well as outcomes from our work together. This talk will be perfect for anyone who already has experience building voice applications for the smart speaker ecosystem and wants to know more about creating enterprise-owned voice assistants.
Voice Global is an annual touchstone event for organizations working to transform customer experience with conversational AI. In addition to Voicify and Volkswagen, Voice Global includes speakers representing an impressive lineup of brands, including Google, Salesforce, NVIDIA, Amazon, and more. We’re proud to be returning in 2022 as speakers and a Silver Sponsor.
NDC Melbourne
Session: Making Every Game and App More Accessible with .NET and AI
When: Thursday, June 16, 2022 – 11:00 AM Eastern

Speakers:
- Alex Dunn, Chief Product Officer, Voicify
NDC Melbourne 2022 is a five-day event comprised of deep-dive workshops and multi-tracked sessions covering .NET, AI/machine learning, data, DevOps, ethics, languages, and more. This year, Alex Dunn was selected to tell the story of building Enabled Play.
For various reasons, millions of people worldwide struggle with accessing and using technology as quickly as their peers, leading to compounding issues of falling behind as the world moves faster.
Enabled Play is on a mission to level that playing field. With it, users can customize their workstation to leverage voice, expressions, gestures, smartphones, watches, virtual inputs, and more as a gaming controller, keyboard, or mouse.
Looking ahead: More Voicify events
Later this year, members of the Voicify team are speaking at Voice Summit in Alexandria, VA, in October, and the annual Boye Digital Leadership Conference in Aarhus, Denmark, in November. We’ll share more about those events as they get closer.
