Voicify & Ogilvy

We caught up with Ogilvy Chief Delivery Officer Daniel Rodríguez-Arias to better understand how they’re thinking about the value of voice for their business and the clients they serve.

At Voicify, we like to throw the spotlight on our partners’ work and thinking around voice. We’re incredibly proud to introduce one of our newest partners this month: Ogilvy.

Ogilvy is a New York City-based British advertising, marketing, and public relations agency that has been growing brands and businesses since 1948. Ogilvy provides services in six areas: brand strategy, advertising, customer engagement and commerce, public relations and influence, digital transformation, and partnerships. Truly a global brand, Ogilvy is made up of nearly 25,000 employees located at 131 offices in 93 countries.

For two key reasons, Ogilvy chose Voicify as their premier partner for designing, building, and publishing custom voice assistants. First, it was evident, due to our organization’s deep roots in providing professional digital services, that we understand the challenges agencies face in meeting the constantly evolving needs of their customers. Based on Voicify’s features and ambitious roadmap, it’s clear we understand and prioritize the need for ease of use and flexibility. Second, that ease of use will help Ogilvy ensure the profitability of delivering custom voice assistants to their clients, no matter what they throw at them.

Ogilvy Chief Delivery Officer Daniel Rodríguez-AriasTo better understand how Ogilvy is thinking about voice, we caught up with Daniel Rodríguez-Arias, Chief Delivery Officer and European tech lead located at Ogilvy’s offices in Barcelona, Spain.

Daniel has more than 20 years of experience at Ogilvy, where he began his professional career in 1999 as a Project Manager at Ogilvy Interactive. Throughout his career, he’s constantly been at the intersection of creativity and technology, holding various national and international positions, including technical director of Ogilvy Singapore and Chief Operating Officer of Ogilvy Barcelona.

Daniel, what excites you most about the future of voice and conversation experiences?

I believe voice will be one of the most relevant ways humans and brands interact in a few years. I also think it will be almost the only way humans interact with their devices at some point, which is both amazing and scary. But there are children alive today who have never known a world without devices you can talk with.

How is voice transforming Ogilvy and the value you deliver to your clients?

Voice improves the efficiency of our day-to-day lives and makes technology more accessible. Given its current global usage both in the home and on the move, it seems this technology will only get more prominent over the next few years.

What are your favorite applications of voice?

I’m very excited about in-home smart speakers. It took just a few years for Alexa and Google to reach more than a hundred million homes and a billion more voice-enabled devices. This adoption happened much faster than previous innovations in mass communications, even when correcting for population differences, and represents a powerful new way for brands to engage with their customers.
