2019 Superbowl Commercials feature Voice & Virtual Assistants

by | Feb 4, 2019

The 2019 Superbowl may have been a snoozer for most (and this coming from a company with offices in Boston & Los Angeles) but given our name is Voicify, we took note of the commercials.

Of the 56 ads listed on the NFL Superbowl Commercials List page, 6 of them leveraged or focused on virtual assistants and voice engagement.  So over 10% of the field.  We thought that was pretty interesting, given for the commercials to make sense, the public had to have a level of familiarity with the concept of voice.

It appears they do. Which is no surprise, but great validation on one of the worlds largest media stages.

For your viewing pleasure, we’ve assembled them below.

SimpliSafe: ‘Fear Is Everywhere’

ADT Home Security: ‘Real protection launch’

Amazon Echo showcases some of its failed experiments

Mercedes-Benz: ‘Say the word’

The power of Google Translate: ‘One hundred billion words’

Pringles: ‘Sad smart device’
